That suits me to be honest as I found them pretty unconvincing - never can get away with it when an orchestra 'rocks' up.Midnight blue is on the new release btw.Sid Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03902574081691402376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13255441.post-11978530401196881262012-03-30T14:41:32.926+01:002012-03-30T14:41:32.926+01:00Wow..., Enticing review Sid!!!! I don't see mention of Midnight Blue, Dangerous Curves, Red or Larks II but I am fairly certain that material was performed by the OrKchestra.

Cheers & Thank You, VarganErik Vargahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06605901058865004447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13255441.post-61567972037141910212012-03-12T08:25:25.546+00:002012-03-12T08:25:25.546+00:00Hi there Nav,

I.e., the way Zappa recorded an orchestra? ) Another issue: how does one notate, in standard notation, the blips/bleeps/squonks and squeaks of Fripp's rig? People used to indicate, with asterisks (*) the inadequacy of properly notating the transcriptions of Monk's tunes--and he was playing a linear, technology-free, even-tempered instrument, i.e.. a piano (!)--I'm thinking the 8 years had to do with dealing with the bleeps, blips, squonks, squeaks of the electronic aspects of Fripp's rig/playing.Navdeep Singhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18171972146208521687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13255441.post-36227196829286614652012-03-06T19:03:45.831+00:002012-03-06T19:03:45.831+00:00I think this will be right up your street, Will.I think this will be right up your street, Will.Sid Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03902574081691402376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13255441.post-9673784647795052522012-03-06T14:41:02.294+00:002012-03-06T14:41:02.294+00:00If I wasn't already excited by the prospect of...If I wasn't already excited by the prospect of this album, your review would have sold it to me.Willhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15894498770468403209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13255441.post-65934210716798873472012-03-06T06:10:37.567+00:002012-03-06T06:10:37.567+00:00It's been a long time coming (as they say) but...It's been a long time coming (as they say) but it's been worth the wait!Sid Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03902574081691402376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13255441.post-88561206894923841812012-03-05T22:51:54.804+00:002012-03-05T22:51:54.804+00:00sid i bet i'm not alone in saying that i'v...sid i bet i'm not alone in saying that i've waited - patiently even - for this to rise to the surface. stevenstevenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14132104804524716898noreply@blogger.com
