Great podcast(s) - no trouble streaming this one & love the Soft Machine music & story's.
Loved the chat on Soft Machine - and those tracks were superb...
I think the experiment worked - probably because the Soft Machine stuff lent itself to being talked over in places...
Still listening as I type and another "cracker" from Gavin Harrison & 05Ric...
yeah baby!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the Soft Machine section.
I'm always looking to discover music that I missed the first time around in my formative years: late 60s / early 70s. In the Prog field this tends to be a disappointing exercise, and I'm now of the opinion that if I didn't listen to it then, it probably isn't worth listening to now.
In contrast, Jazz & Fusion still contains many gems that I wasn't previously aware of, and Soft Machine seems like a particularly bright and shiny one.
This is an excellent podcast! It's been a while since I've listened to The Soft Machine. Thank you for getting me back into the music of the Soft Machine. Also, please check out my site.
